A high pressure system is in place for the start of this week keeping Sunday and Monday dry, though the nighttime temps will be on the cool side in the mid 50’s. A cold front will approach the area Monday night into Tuesday morning bringing some moderate to heavy rain showers. Although the cold front will move out of the area by Tuesday night, the main center of low pressure will still be situated over the Great Lakes region. The low will begin to weaken on Wednesday, so the chance of rain is unlikely but, Wednesday night, a new area of low pressure will develop on the coast of the Carolinas. This new low pressure system will strengthen Thursday and move up the coast. Most of the rain should stay to the east of our area, but on Friday, the low pressure system may stall and move slightly west which would bring scattered moderate rain showers on Friday. All chances of rain should be gone late Saturday morning.
I will be busy this week, but I will try to update the forecast as needed. Enjoy the week!
